Kolina Hang
Kolina Hang is an illustrator and 3D artist born in Jersey City, New Jersey. She studied Computer Arts at School of Visual Arts in NYC and finished with a BA in Game Art and Development at Southern New Hampshire University. She now resides in Portland, OR working as a freelancer bringing stylized and realistic visions to fruition. You can often find her with a cup of coffee in one hand and a pencil in the other.
Developing interest as a young child initially with anime, she fostered her talent by studying realism through traditional media. From highschool to college, she partcipated in summer intensive programs at Cooper Union, Parsons (Now known as The New School) and proceeded to win the Silver Key medal at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
As an adult, Kolina looks to integrate her vision with 2D media into a 3D approach, bringing characters, creatures, and assets to film and games. You can find her working with Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter to refine parts of her craft.
She continues to enjoy creating mementos that inspire people as art has inspired her throughout her life. Whether they are in the form of a model, painting, print, logo, design, or sticker, no craft is too big or too small.
Some of her favorite mediums to work with are water color, goauche, ink and graphite. She enjoys rendering digital work on Clip Studio, Procreate, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
